Grand Hotel Melbourne

Excellent location, walking distance to attractions. Helpful and friendly staff. Will stay again. Good pool, though hard to find and no pool towels. Reception provided helpful information on eating places and tours. Breakfast is sit-down with limited options, but owner plans to change to buffet soon.

We were really surprised to receive a chocolate treat and a lovely card upon check-in, as it was my husband's birthday. The location was perfect, with easy access to trams and walking distance to Southbank and Crown Complex. The 11am check-out time allowed us to enjoy a leisurely breakfast without feeling rushed. The breakfast itself was delicious and reasonably priced at $20 per person. I highly recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Melbourne.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff made us feel like valued guests and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a sense of history and charm. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. The location was very convenient, with easy access to transportation and a short distance to the city centre. The included breakfast was a great bonus and the staff at reception provided excellent personal service.

Lovely staff, economical Grand breakfast, beautiful and spacious apartment, easy access to transport and CBD, double glazed windows for minimal noise, excellent kitchen facilities.

The location was perfect, with shopping outlets and public transport just a short walk away. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-maintained. The staff provided excellent service, including a personal note from the General Manager and Lindt Easter chocolates. Breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the attention to soundproofing, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

We were disappointed that there was nowhere to have a drink in the hotel, such as a bar or lounge area.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grand Hotel Melbourne! The exec one bedroom apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and perfect for our needs. The pool and spa were great additions, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, as people who love karaoke and casinos, we were thrilled to find out that there were some nearby.

We felt right at home during our stay and honestly have nothing to complain about.

Spacious and clean rooms with a hint of vintage charm. Convenient location near the train station and shopping areas. The staff were friendly and even the owner was hands-on to ensure a pleasant experience. Bonus points for returning a lost item promptly. Highly recommended.

The lack of modern amenities might not suit everyone's taste. Some guests may find the long walk from the reception to their rooms a bit tiring.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, near Southern Cross railway station where the airbus stops in the CBD, making it easy for us to explore everything on South Bank & the city of Melbourne. We also appreciated the convenience of the multiple stops for the free CBD tram service and being right next to the train station. The room amenities were impressive, including a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, and soundproofed rooms, which allowed us to relax and rejuvenate ourselves after a long day.

We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in this city.
